A consultation/evaluation is intended to diagnose whether or not a tooth needs endodontic treatment; it is also sometimes used to specify which tooth needs endodontic treatment. We will gather information for a complete medical and dental history, take radiographs of the areas in question, and perform clinical tests. The tests include, but are not limited to, vitality, percussion, palpation, probing, and biting in order to determine the health of the nerve of the tooth and surrounding bone.
